D.U.I / Risk Reduction

Georgia State Law requires persons charged with any of the following offenses to attend a DUI School certified by Georgia’s Department of Driver Services before a driver’s license can be reinstated.
  • Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I.)
  • Driving While Intoxicated (D.W.I.)
  • Boating Under the Influence (B.U.I.)
  • Illegal possession of alcohol and/or drugs (underage also included)
  • Other drug or traffic offenses

Johns Creek Driving School Building


DUI School requires the following two components:
  1. The Assessment Component
    1. Must be completed at our facility prior to the first day of DUI School
    2. Cost = $82
    3. Takes approximately 30 minutes to complete
    4. Offered Monday through Friday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
      • After hours service available upon request
  1. The Intervention Component
    1. Must be completed AFTER the Assessment Component
    2. Cost = $210 (includes $20 for materials)
    3. Entails 20 hours of classroom instruction divided into 3, 4 or 5-day programs
    4. The Department of Driver Services forbids late arrivals, so arrive early to avoid dismissal from this course.
All fees are set forth by the State of Georgia and the Department of Driver Services, in accordance with Georgia State Law.
Students receive a State of Georgia “Certificate of Completion” for DUI School once they pass the course and the Department of Driver Services is notified.

Benefits of DUI Classes:

  • License Reinstatement: If your license has been revoked or suspended, going to DUI School can permit you to have it reinstated.
  • Court Fine / Sentencing Reduction: You can take a DUI Class to possibly reduce a court-ordered fine or sentence.
  • Awareness of high risk choices: Attending DUI School will increase your awareness of high risk choices related to alcohol and drugs.
